Customizing Ivo's behavior

Ivo is designed to adapt to your working style, and you can further customize its behavior through the Ivo settings page. Go to Settings, then Ivo to access all customization options.

The most impactful setting is Ivo's Activity Level. This controls how much context Ivo surfaces in your feed. The options are High (Ivo surfaces more items in your feed and prepares meeting briefs automatically), Medium (Ivo highlights priorities and flags important threads in your feed), and Low (Ivo keeps the feed minimal and waits for you to ask for help via chat). Most users find Medium to be the best starting point.

You can also customize Ivo's writing style for draft replies. Under Writing Preferences, set your preferred tone (formal, neutral, or casual), default reply length, and any custom instructions. Custom instructions are freeform text where you can tell Ivo things like "never use exclamation points" or "always include a brief greeting."

Additional customization options include focus hours (times when Ivo should not send notifications), VIP contacts (people whose messages should always be treated as high priority), and topic muting (subjects Ivo should deprioritize). All changes take effect immediately, and you can reset any setting to its default value at any time.
