Google Chat configuration

If your team uses Google Chat, you can connect it to Intelo for a unified messaging experience. The Google Chat integration works with both personal Google accounts and Google Workspace organizations.

To connect Google Chat, navigate to Settings, then Integrations, and click "Connect" on the Google Chat card. You will be redirected to Google's authorization page. If you have already connected your Gmail account, you may see a simplified consent screen since some permissions overlap. Approve the additional permissions required for Chat access.

Once connected, your Google Chat messages, including spaces and direct messages, will sync to Intelo. Ivo will include Chat messages in its prioritization alongside your emails and Slack messages. You can view Chat conversations in the unified Inbox or filter to see only Chat messages using the integration filter at the top of the Inbox.

Google Chat configuration options include choosing which Spaces to track (all by default), setting notification preferences for Chat messages separately from email, and enabling or disabling Ivo's smart replies for Chat conversations. You can access these options from Settings, then Integrations, then Google Chat.
